Jennifer and Niki’s wedding at Topa Topa Brewing Company in Ventura was a laid-back celebration with personal touches throughout. I originally met Jennifer and Niki for the first time during their engagement session. When it was time to capture the excitement over their new relationship status, they came out to my neck of the woods. Meeting them for the first time was an instant connection. They have wonderfully kind hearts, and the energy of their spirits was a vibe. I knew that I wouldn’t meet with them again until their wedding at Topa Topa Brewing Company. However, I was very much looking forward to the fête they had planned.
I would describe Jennifer and Niki’s wedding day as spirited, yet low-key. The main focus was on the couple coming together in love, to be joined for a lifetime. In fact, the bond they share is so immeasurable, that they walked down the aisle of their ceremony together. With fingers intertwined, Jennifer and Niki made their way to the altar with the brightest of smiles, as they stared into each other’s eyes. Once they arrived at the wedding arbor there was a quick visit from their furbaby, Betty; who served as the official flower pup for the day. Betty stopped for some quick scritches from her pawrents, and the ceremony was underway. Jennifer and Niki recited their personal marriage vows and exchanged rings. And with an epic wedding day kiss, they were officially announced as newlyweds.

What awaited the newlyweds next was a round of portraits with all of their favorite people. I then turned my focus to Jennifer and Niki. We used the wide-open lawn of Topa Topa Brewing Company to capture their wedding portraits. Of course, Betty joined in on the fun as well! While I worked with my newlyweds, their guests enjoyed a fun bar service with what seemed like an endless selection of choices on tap. The couple wed in October on what proved to be a somewhat chilly day. But that didn’t stop anyone in attendance from keeping the celebration next level!
With the formal ceremony and wedding portraits complete, Jennifer and Niki had a wedding reception planned in the Barrel Room of Topa Topa Brewing Company. True to its name, there are rows of barrels accenting the space. Niki changed into light-up sneakers that glowed with radiant shades of neon, and Jennifer slipped into a reception dress. They were ready to get the party started. Under rows of cafe lighting in the barrel room, the newlyweds danced the night away while guests were treated to a late-night bite from the churro cart.
