Ellas Vineyard Wedding

Rae and Dom’s Ellas Vineyard Wedding in Creston had views for days. That’s the thing about vineyard weddings, isn’t it? The backdrop is unforgettable and the sunsets are extraordinary!

Having the pleasure of working with Rae and Dom, I felt immediately connected to this couple. Before their wedding day arrived, it was all about getting to know them, so that I could get that coveted glimpse into how they tick, and what their love language is. The very first time I chatted with them was over Zoom, and I just knew I had to meet this couple in person! Needless to say, we scheduled a coffee date. Once we met in person, we were able to discuss all the ins and outs of their wedding photography experience.

When wedding day rolled around at Ellas Vineyard in Creston, it was go time! The main house served as the getting-ready suite for Rae and her wedding party. Meanwhile, Dom and the guys hung out downstairs with drinks and casual conversation. During that initial coffee meet-up with Rae and Dom, we discussed having a first look on their big day. Having a first look at your wedding can be an amazing way to add to your photography experience. It also provides the opportunity for a few solemn moments together where you can read private vows. Rae and Dom agreed to a first look and I set them up on the lawn of the main house, with the vineyards peeking through the backdrop.

It was a moment that was absolutely to die for. Rae looked absolutely stunning in her romantic off-the-shoulder bridal gown, which had a dash of boho flair. Dom was classic meets vintage in a three-piece suit with an epic pocket watch chain. The scene was set and the bride & groom were dressed in their wedding day best. And the moment that unfolded? Positively delightful. Dom was overcome with joy at the sight of his bride! Their tender embrace would melt the heart of any true romantic.

The wedding ceremony site at Ellas Vineyard lay beneath a towering oak tree. A shaded outdoor space where the wind passes through gently. The views behind Rae and Dom showcased the sprawling vineyards in the foreground of the main house. Vows were recited, laughter was exchanged, and a celebration erupted as Rae and Dom were pronounced married. For a couple whose love is so evident, there was one last item on their wedding photography experience that was an absolute must. Sunset photos in the vineyard!

With the sun peeking over the hills in the distance, and the soil beneath our feet, we strolled through the lush green vineyards. The layers of Rae’s gown danced in the shadows, and together we captured some magic. The night ended with a fabulous reception, which had a fun literary theme. Guests were greeted by a welcome table with escort cards reminiscent of vintage library catalog cards! Tattered tomes of love stories filled the welcome table. The night was complete when guests hit the dance floor to celebrate the newlyweds. To see all the details of this Ellas Vineyard Wedding, scroll through the photos below.
