Claire & Tony’s SLO Brew Rock Wedding in San Luis Obispo, CA
The couple’s wedding ceremony took place outdoors by the natural rock formation that the venue gets its name from. The sun was at its highest, and whiskey barrels accented their altar. Both of which were topped with gorgeous floral arrangements of creamy pink and orange blooms. As they were pronounced married, Claire, Tony, and their guests burst into cheer. I knew in that moment that they were ready to get the party started.
The party of a lifetime awaited Claire and Tony in the Event Center. One that was filled with disco balls hanging from the industrial-style ceiling, craft cocktails for guests to enjoy, and design and decor details that made the space feel like them.
Aside from the all-in-one experience offered through a SLO Brew Rock wedding, the venue also permits couples access to the barrel room. If you are hosting a wedding with an intimate-sized guest list, you can choose to host your reception dinner here. However, if your guest list is on the larger side, you can still wander through the barrel room for wedding photos and general merriment. Claire and Tony were up for some fun. So we spent a few moments in the rustic barrel room snapping wedding photos surrounded by barrels of craft beer & whiskey.

But, before everyone hit the dance floor, I worked with Claire and Tony on golden hour wedding photos. Just around the other side of the rock, the sun began to set overhead, bathing everything in soft amber light. Throughout most of the day, my approach to capturing Claire and Tony’s SLO Rock wedding was documentary, leaning into the emotions as they unfolded. However, this exact moment was perfect for editorial portraits, with the light washing over them.
All in all, their wedding day was the quintessential embodiment of what it feels like to get married in SLO, mixed with the incredible vibe of the venue. Joyful with lots of sunshine, a packed dance floor, an embracing community, and a party-centric celebration. It’s also safe to say there wasn’t a saddle, piano, or disco ball that went idle for Claire and Tony’s wedding!
