Madonna Inn Wedding

This Madonna Inn Wedding was a little bit kitsch, a little rock ‘n’ roll,  and a whole lot of Elvis! In fact, the rock ‘n’ roll vibes were so amazing that Megan and Sterling’s Madonna Inn Wedding was featured in the wedding publication Rock n Roll Bride!

Looking at the photos from Megan and Sterling’s wedding, you’ll probably think they are a super fun couple who pulled out all the stops for their wedding day. But, in all honesty, every single aspect of their wedding day was a representation of their personalities and their love story. Megan knew early on that when it came time to get married there were two things she had to have, Elvis, and The Madonna Inn. So the couple found an amazing Elvis impersonator in the area to officiate their wedding. He also surprised the newlyweds and their guests with a concert after their ceremony! Everyone had such a blast.

Some fun elements that awaited guests as they arrived were Zoltar-themed fortune cards and a “clown adoption”. The clowns are a nod to Sterling’s love for collecting clowns, a hobby he has carried with him for over a decade. But also to Megan’s family. Her grandmother was also an avid clown collector. So for her wedding day, Megan was able to find one of her grandmother’s beloved Clown brooches to include in their personal elements.

I always love capturing Madonna Inn wedding days. But even more so when the couple has such unique personalities that shine through in every facet of their best day ever. Once Megan and Sterling were announced we went for a walk around the grounds of the Madonna Inn. Knowing how important this venue was to Megan, we stopped by the Madonna Inn’s iconic road sign to capture some wedding day portraits. Then it was off the trail by the Cerro San Luis, also known as the “Madonna Mountain”!
