Los Laureles Lodge in Carmel Valley is a ten-acre historic ranch with a vibe all its own. Kendra & Matt’s wedding day there was an intimate day filled with fun and their own unique personal touches. And I can’t wait to share it with you!
Kendra and I met when she discovered me through a mutual friend. From there, we vibed on our mutual love of music festivals. In many ways, Kendra and Matt’s wedding felt very much like a laid-back, intimate music festival!
It was an early wedding day for Kendra and Matt. With the sun just barely drenching the valley when we got started! Kendra and her wedding party were getting ready in Hill House when I arrived. Kendra’s wedding dress was hanging from the open doors of the private suite by a ranch-themed wedding day banner, and it was just about go time! Meanwhile, Matt and his friends were in a boisterous mood. They were cracking jokes and getting the cigars, libations, and vows ready for the celebration!

You know the wedding day vibes are going to be good when the guests are welcomed with a sound bath. If you’re not familiar with it, a sound bath is meant to be an immersive experience. More often used in a meditative environment, I love that Kendra & Matt used it as a way to lean into their spirituality on their wedding day!
I worked side by side with Kendra and Matt for 5 hours on their wedding day. It proved to be more than enough time to capture every highlight of their unique day. From the sound bath to the groom taking a shot at the altar, a private moment between Kendra & Matt where the groom hand-picked wildflowers for his bride, and finally bubbles on the al fresco dance floor.
