Villa San Juliette Wedding

Villa San Juliette is a hidden gem of a wedding venue tucked away in the rolling hills of Paso Robles. This winery wedding venue is stepped in Tuscan influence and portrays the embodiment of old-world charm. Its modern elegance meets gorgeous architecture with expansive sprawling vineyards. Making it a beautifully romantic location to say I do.

Annika and Jonas’s wedding took place at Villa San Juliette on what had to be one of the hottest days of the year. While the weather reached the triple digits, the energy and merriment were just as high. Which made it an unforgettable day of celebration. Typically, when I get started with my couples on their wedding day, we kick things off with a first look. However, Annika and Jonas wanted to forgo the first look and instead meet each other for the first time on their wedding day, down the aisle.

A Summer Wedding at Villa San Juliette

Needless to say, I had to get a little creative when it came to photographing the wedding party. I wanted to capture some fun moments of Annika and Jonas with the respective members of their wedding party before the ceremony. But I knew I had to keep them separate from each other to honor Annika and Jonas’s wedding day vision.

In addition to this, I took into account the weather. Luckily I was able to find a nice shaded lawn at Villa San Juliette, just behind the tasting room. Here, I was able to work with Annika and Jonas separately while keeping everyone cool. In fact, it was during these photos that I realized just how fun the members of their wedding party were! There were tons of silly moments complete with funny poses and cracking jokes. I knew then that everyone in attendance was going to make this Villa San Juliette wedding a day to be remembered.

Annika and Jonas’s wedding at Villa San Juliette was hosted under the summer sun. The winery offers couples getting married its upper lawn, outdoor arbor, and patio to host wedding ceremonies, receptions, and cocktail hours. Under the arbor, accented by heaps of florals and adorned with rows and rows of cafe lighting (which came in handy later in the night) Annika and Jonas were married. With their vows sealed, I took to the grounds of Villa San Juliette with the newlyweds for their wedding portraits. In addition to the expansive vineyards, we explored the tree-lined walkways and the shady hidden nooks of the venue to capture every memorable moment of their unforgettable union.

As the sun went down and the party heated up, everyone was ready to hit the dance floor and party. The open dance floor was inclusive, with guests of all ages partying down; I might’ve even joined in for a moment or two! But, what can I say, Annika and Jonas’s Villa San Juliette wedding was just that good. When the celebration is that fun, I have to put myself in the mix (camera in hand) to capture every detail for the newlyweds to look back on for a lifetime!
