Nestled in the tiny town of Harmony, CA, lies Harmony Wedding Chapel. This quaint, one-of-a-kind chapel is set among lush gardens and rolling hills. The hills are comprised of the towns’ closest residents, free-roaming cows! Who are more than happy to stand proudly in the backdrop if you happen to stop by for some photos on the day of your wedding.
The area surrounding the chapel is filled with nostalgia and iconography, giving the space its own unique aesthetic. In turn, setting the scene for a fun, unforgettable wedding day. Rachel and Cory chose Harmony Wedding Chapel to host their vows and their sunset celebration. Their day was every bit as iconic as the venue itself.
Harmony Wedding Chapel in California
Located on California’s central coast, the town of Harmony is so small that it encompasses exactly one block. So many of the couples I work with search for a unique, intimate wedding day experience. I have to say, Harmony Wedding Chapel fits the bill.
The chapel itself has space to accommodate up to 40 seated guests. Additional standing room can also accommodate 20 more guests. Seating inside the chapel is courtesy of wooden church pews lined with red cushions. The pews are set on either side of the chapel, leaving space for a walk down the aisle and a prime view as you recite your vows.
For Rachel and Cory, fresh floral arrangements accented the altar with members of their wedding party standing beside them. The cozy chapel was brought to life with beautiful earthy shades of sage and Rachel’s gorgeous wedding gown. Her off-the-shoulder ballgown was filled with flouncy layers covered in floral detail. All in all, tying together the vibe that drew inspiration from Harmony Wedding Chapel’s natural surroundings.
Harmony Wedding Chapel Photos
Rachel and Cory also hosted a fabulous open-air wedding reception for their guests, just steps away from the chapel. In keeping with the overall tone of their day, Harmony Gardens hosted their reception celebration, with the Harmony Scoop Truck serving up fun, whimsical treats for guests of all ages.
But, by far, my personal favorite part of Rachel and Cory’s vows at Harmony Wedding Chapel was getting to work with them on sunset portraits. The grounds that surround the chapel and gardens are truly magnificent. They are filled with pastoral scenery and, yes, even the cows made a guest appearance! The wind kicked up a bit as we strolled through the gardens, but Rachel and Cory, being the sweet couple they are, just rolled with it. They were so focused on each other and enjoying every moment of their wedding day that they took it all in stride, which created some epic imagery that personified their love story.
