La Cuesta Ranch Wedding in San Luis Obispo

Katelyn and Brian’s La Cuesta Ranch wedding was full of bohemian flair and all the fun vibes!

At the very start of the day, Katelyn and her crew got ready at a charming rustic Airbnb in the countryside. With their hair and makeup done, the bride and her bridesmaids stepped outside to pop a bottle of champagne on the deck. It was a fun moment between Katelyn and her crew to kick off the day! Once Katelyn & her wedding party were dressed and ready, we made our way to La Cuesta Ranch.

La Cuesta Ranch is a historically significant wedding venue in San Luis Obispo, CA. It’s a charming rustic barn with a stunning landscape of rolling hills. It’s a warm and welcoming atmosphere full of lush greenery, decked out in cafe lighting and outdoor chandeliers!

When we arrived at the venue, Katelyn and Brian were ready to have a first look before their ceremony. There is a quaint wooden bridge on the grounds of La Cuesta Ranch, just past the ceremony site. Brian stood at the end of the bridge as Katelyn walked up behind him to tap him on the shoulder. They were all smiles and Brian loved getting to see Katelyn in her bridal gown!

When Katelyn and Brian were pronounced Mr. & Mrs., they stopped for a quick cocktail together before making their way to the reception. Their reception was so fun and lively! Their guests really showered them with massive amounts of love. From their speeches to the laughter, and some fun on the dance floor, it was a beautifully celebratory day!

Just around sunset, the owner of the venue offered us an adventurous tour of the grounds on his off-road vehicle. He took us up to the private hilltop where the views were incredible! I worked with Katelyn and Brian to capture their wedding portraits with the soft glow of the setting sun behind us. The backdrop for their photos featured SLO County’s famous Morro hills, also dubbed the ‘Seven Sisters’. You’ll get to see the absolutely gorgeous view, in their photos below!
