This Cliffs Hotel wedding in Pismo Beach California, had such a beautiful view of the ocean and one jam-packed dance floor!
My couple, Megan and Cam, are local to the Central Coast, so it was only fitting that they had their wedding at this amazing venue. I personally love working with my couples to capture every detail of their Cliffs Hotel wedding in Pismo Beach. The staff at this venue is beyond incredible, and the catering is mouthwateringly delicious. But, truly, nothing beats the oceanfront lawn! With cliffside views of the tranquil Pacific, the lawn is the most popular location at the venue to hold a ceremony.
I actually went to high school with Megan, but this was our first time reuniting in over 10 years. It was so fun to reconnect with her, on her wedding day no less! Of course, I also had the pleasure of meeting the groom, Cam. He’s grounded and has a sweet nature about him. Together, Megan and Cam make a joyful couple who are so at peace in each other’s arms.
The thing about Megan and Cam’s Cliffs Hotel wedding in Pismo Beach is that their whole crew brought the energy that day! There were pre-wedding bottles of champagne popping in the bride’s suite, and tie adjustments with plenty of well-natured joking around in the groom’s suite. Having such a fun and energetic start to the day, I was ready to see these two get married. All in all, Megan & Cam’s wedding ceremony was utterly heartwarming. Cam managed to get a belly laugh out of his bride during their vows, but also a few happy tears. Their vows were full of lifelong promises, but above all, brimming with love.

Their wedding reception had many parallels to the ceremony, but with the same added level of fun found in their getting-ready suites! The night kicked off with deeply personal speeches from the wedding party. From there, I was ready to sneak the bride and groom off to the beach for their wedding portraits (something photographer Love Jackie Weddings in CT does with her couples, too). The sun was setting, and I knew that it was the perfect time to capture beautiful, scenic, unforgettable wedding photos. With the clouds tucked away and the sun disappearing over the horizon, the beach became a dreamscape. You’ll get to see some of my favorite moments in the photos below.
With portraits complete, there was only one thing left to do: hit the dance floor! And Megan & Cam’s entire guest list kept the dance floor popping all night. In fact, Megan even slipped into a fun reception dress so she could spend the night, side by side with Cam and the people they cherish the most. It was such an honor to be in the presence of their energy while capturing every single celebratory moment.
