Kelli & Brandon’s Spring Elopement in Estero Bluffs State Park

Kelli and Brandon’s elopement-style wedding in Estero Bluffs State Park was an amazing celebration of love! The spring weather in Cayucos had just brought a rainstorm through the area. Needless to say, Kelli & Brandon’s wedding day was super windy!

My bride and groom, along with their furbaby, made the trek into Estero Bluffs State Park for an elopement on the shoreline. Their closest friends and family members stood in a semi-circle behind them as they became husband and wife. After their vows, Kelli and Brandon popped a bottle of champagne on the beach and poured a cup for each of their guests. It was definitely cold that day, but you would never know it. The bride & groom along with their guests were in such good spirits and focused on celebrating their new union.

The benefit of the recent rainstorm was that it gave us the ability to play around with their portraits! The hills in the backdrop of the park were a beautiful saturated shade of green from the recent weather. And Kelli and Brandon were open to getting creative with their wedding photography! The stormy weather made everything around them look and feel so much more dramatic than a sun-soaked day ever would.

Kelli and Brandon even ran through the muddy waters of the shore, completely barefoot! The bottom of Kelli’s wedding gown was soaked and full of mud. But I think there’s so much beauty in being present on your wedding day and focused on enjoying the moment, mud and all!

Once the ceremony and champagne celebration was over, Kelli & Brandon invited me to join them and their guests for dinner at Libertine Brewery in San Luis Obispo. It was so wonderful to be treated like a member of the family and spend the day among such amazing people who share a rich palpable love, both in their relationships and with their family members!
